St Jerome, NPNF II.3; with Gennadius’ continuation
Jerome, 92. Triphylius the bishop
Triphylius,1 bishop of Ledra or Leucotheon,2 in Cyprus, was the most eloquent man of his age, and was distinguished during the reign of Constantius. I have read his Commentary on the Song of Songs. He is said to have written many other works, none of which have come to our hand.
Notes
- Bishop 344, died about 370.
- Leucotheon = Leuteon.
